Eimear McCarthy: I am a teacher of Mathematics and Gaeilge at St Joseph’s Secondary School, Rush, Co. Dublin. I lead the School Self Evaluation process at the school and have a particular expertise in rolling out and implementing a whole school approach to improving numeracy. As part of The College For Every Student (CFES) initiative I have undertaken a Masters in the area of Cooperative Learning and integrating technology with Bridge21 teaching methods. I have presented my work at national and international conferences. I have considerable experience of building communities of practice with colleagues from schools in Ireland and beyond. |

Darren Byrne: I am an Art, Craft & Design teacher in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Rush, North Co. Dublin. I graduated from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in 2002 where I specialised in Education. Since 2014 I have studied part time at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) where I have received a Post-Graduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching & Learning. I am currently studying for my Masters in Education specialising in Cooperative Learning. Aside from being a member of the TFT team here at our school I am also a participant in several other initiatives such as the College for Every Student (CFES) programme and the ‘Strip to Identity’ Erasmus+ Comenius project. I am also the NCAD Access Programme liaison teacher, and I am the supervisor of our schools Student Voice Programme conducted in partnership with Dr. Paula Flynn of TCD and the National Council for Curriculum and assessment (NCCA). |

Susanne Kelly: I am a teacher of Science and Mathematics at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Rush, Co. Dublin. As a teacher of Science I try to encourage discovery based learning and problem solving among students. Alongside my subject teaching, I am the school’s Positive Behaviour Liaison Teacher. My role here is to develop strategies within the school that encourage positive behaviour among students, and promote a positive attitude towards teaching and learning within the entire school community. I also lead our annual “Wellbeing Week” in the school which focuses on Mental Health Awareness, fostering student self-esteem, and acknowledging student achievements throughout the year. I am very excited to be part of the TfT programme, working with such an enthusiastic community of teachers. |

Colin Doyle: I am a secondary school teacher. My subjects are primarily English, CSPE and Classical Studies. I am very interested in problem and enquiry based learning methodologies and teaching practices. I am currently undertaking a Master’s degree in cooperative learning examining how tablets and mobile technologies can be implemented effectively in a cooperative learning classroom. When I’m not in the classroom I have a 15 month old daughter and a 4 month old son who keep me very busy. |

Maria Anvell: I am a teacher in Stenungsund, a small town on the west coast in Sweden. I have been working here for three years, and before that I worked in Gothenburg for 12 years. My main subjects are maths and science. I love to teach, support and develop students of different ages. I now have a first teaching post, which means that I have opportunity to develop the school. When I’m not working I spend most of the time with my family: Daniel my husband, Astrid my daughter and Arvid my son. For my well-being I do a lot of running! | ![]() |

Marianne Ekström: I work as teacher at Kristinedalskolan in Stenungsund. I teach pupils aged 10-13 and right now I have a 7th grade class – they are 12-13 years old. My subjects are Swedish, Maths, Geography, Religion, History, Civics and Arts. I have previously even taught music. From last year I am a lead teacher at my school. The lead teachers in Stenungsund work with school development in different ways and my focus is interdisciplinary studies. I have worked as a teacher for 27 years now – (Oh my goodness!) and I still really enjoy teaching. In my spare time I like to work in my garden and I enjoy ceramics. I also love dancing. Once a week I dance foxtrot and waltz and twice a year we have a Ball. Then of course I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. |

Maria Lundmark: I was born and raised in Stenungsund. Now I live with my family about ten kilometers outside Stenungsund, in Ödsmål. I started working as a teacher in 1997. In 1998 I got a permanent job at Kopperskolan, where I still work. I mainly teach pupils aged 10-13. In 2005, I also took a degree in Computational Linguistics. I now have a first teaching post in the municipality. It is a school development mission. Once a week I also work with the municipality’s website. I like to challenge myself and my teaching, and I strive to keep evolving! In my spare time I spend most of my time with my family and friends. |

Johanna Hübinette: I work as a teacher in Stenungsund, a small town on the west coast of Sweden. I studied at the University of Gothenburg and have a Bachelor of Arts in Education and I teach History, Religion, Geography and Civics. I graduated in 2001 so I’ve been working as a teacher for 14 years now and I must say that I still love it! I like to be a part of different projects that involves school development and I’m very interested in improving my own teaching and learning new things. When I’m not working I like reading, watching TV-series and just be with my family and friends. |
